Artifact is minimized by using the shortest possible TE, highest bandwidth and avoiding fat suppression whenever possible. By increasing NEX from 0.5 to 1.0, the TE for efgre3D is decreased because less of the echo is sampled. The technique least sensitive to metal is SSFSE, because the 180 degree refocusing pulses are so close together.
